WHY IS THERE A GAP AT THE TOP OF MY CAN?
A 4mm ink-free zone is applied to the top of every can — and it’s there for good reason. This space is reserved for two things: the seaming process, where the lid is attached to the can body, and PakTech carrier application, which is how multipack holders clip onto your cans.
It’s a small but important detail to factor into your artwork from the start. Anything designed too close to the top of the can risks being obscured or affected during production — so the earlier your designer accounts for it, the smoother your artwork approval process will be.
