WHAT IS BULLETPROOF
Digital can printing is fundamentally different from traditional lithographic decoration. In a standard can plant, artwork is etched into the aluminium. With digital printing, you’re working with an ink film applied to a formed, necked can.
That’s always meant a trade-off: design flexibility and speed on one side, raw durability on the other. BulletProof eliminates that trade-off. After three years of development — adjusting primer chemistries, coating sequences and varnish formulation — ECC has engineered a bond between ink film and aluminium that blurs the line between coating and substrate.
